This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. The website belongs to The Knotty Doggy Groomer, a dog and cat grooming business run by Maria Batrez-Criner in Temecula, California.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into the appointment request form:

• Your name, phone number and town or city (required)
• Your message about your pet (required)
• Your email address (optional)
• Whether you checked the box to receive text messages about your request (optional)

We do not use analytics, advertising pixels, tracking cookies or chat widgets. We do not build profiles about you.

Two things happen behind the scenes to keep the site working and free of spam. Cloudflare, our website host, processes your IP address to deliver pages and keeps a temporary, scrambled counter of form submissions from your connection for up to 10 minutes so spammers cannot flood the form. Cloudflare Turnstile, the spam check on the form, looks at technical signals from your browser to confirm you are a real person. Neither is used for advertising.

Why we collect it

Only to answer your request, give you a quote and schedule your pet's grooming appointment.

Who receives it

When you send the form, your request goes to Go High Level, the customer management system Maria uses, and she is alerted by email and text message so she can reply. The website itself does not keep a copy, but your request is saved as a contact record in that system. The services that handle it are Cloudflare (website hosting and security), Go High Level (customer management) and the email and text message providers that deliver alerts to Maria. They handle it only to provide these services.

We never sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

The website does not store form submissions. After your request is delivered, it is discarded by the website. Maria keeps your contact record and messages in her customer management system only as long as she needs them to serve you and your pet, and deletes them sooner if you ask.

Text messages

If you check the text message box, Maria may text you about your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Checking the box is never required to send a request, and we never send automatic texts or emails from this form.

Your choices and how to delete your information

You can ask what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or text (714) 213-1125 or email maria.batrez@yahoo.com. We will respond within 30 days.

California privacy rights

This policy is written to meet the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). This site does not track visitors over time or across other websites, so it does not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals, and no third party collects personal information about you across sites through this website. We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes (California Civil Code 1798.83). The Knotty Doggy Groomer is a small business that does not meet the thresholds of the California Consumer Privacy Act, but we honor the access and deletion requests described above for everyone.

Children

This website is for adults booking grooming for their pets. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Cookies and stored data

We checked this website in a browser to list everything it stores on your device. It does not use tracking or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
